That's because Fetters and Eklund don't get off to 3* kids. It's the 4 and 5 star ones that make those guys feel important when they get an interview.
 
I am sure Eklund will address in his blog soon that Pete didn't reach out to the 4/5 star LB talent like Sark is doing.
 
I don't want to start a new thread, so I'm posting it here. The two areas of huge need last recruiting class were DL and DB. OL was another, but not at the same level. The early reports are that the freshman DL and DB's are great. Now, it could be hype, but there seems to be some real ballers in both groups. Petersen killed it for his first class.

Petersen won't be a glamorous recruiter, but it will be effective. It will drive 'Tard crazy, but unlike "El Siete" our new adult coach has an understanding of roster management.

And unlike Captain Petron who always panicked at the end and reached for guys to sign after he struck out with the sizzle guys, Petersen's targets his guys early regardless of stars.
