"Yeah, they offered me," Rigby (Id.) DL Tanoa Togiai told Dawgman.com. "It's crazy. I am way excited about it!"

The Huskies join several schools that have already offered, including Utah, Nebraska, Kansas State, UCLA, Virginia, BYU and Colorado.

"They talked to me a while ago then and then I didn’t hear from them for a while, but they just started keeping in touch with me again recently," Togiai said. "Coach (Ikaika) Malloe is the coach that offered me and he said their recruiting process is a lot different than other schools and they said that’s why it took so long to offer."

Now that the Huskies have offered, Togiai, who has already visited Utah, Nebraska and Kansas State, plans to visit Washington later this month.

"They want me to come up on the 24th," Togiai said.

With one more visit, Togiai said he's still keeping his options open and may take his fifth and final visit before making his decision on Signing Day (February 5th).

Can’t believe they tell kids this. He was offered late because he is/was probably our 8th option. When the first seven said no, you got your offer.

A DL class with this kid and Lohohea who's rumored to be in the 270-280 range now is not bad. We need to crush it next year in DL recruiting but at least we won't have a massive gap on the roster down the road.

Vita was originally a 4* but dropped in the rankings due to grades. Given his tape, everyone knew he was a steal.

Just get him signed. That we don't have any dl signings yet is still a huge pockmark on Malloe, who I love.

Agree, but the last time Malloe got shut out he went on a 2 year bender where we pulled nearly every 4 star on the west coast. I've been telling myself 2019 was just Malloe hyping himself up for another 2 year monster run that includes JTT.

Yeah, his highlight video was posted here when he arrived and everyone was in agreement that he was really good. He still turned out even better than expected.

Disagree. Anyone could see how good Gaines already was as a high schooler, and Vea just looked like a huge, freaky athlete. We're all schooled enough at tbsing here to recognize the qualities they had.

Two of those three wouldn’t have gotten a sniff from Pete in later years.

Vita signed because of need. Obviously he had the talent, but Pete wouldn’t have recruited him because of grades.
