Sun Bowel is apparently not important...

Pretty sure Leonard Fournette did the same thing last week, so not setting precedent.

I don't blame them, but if it becomes common, non-new years bowl games will eventually die out. Might be a good thing actually.

Yeah, but Fournette has been walking wounded most of the year. I'm pretty sure he said something to the effect of his ankle wasn't right and he needed to rest it.

Too much ESPN/TV money in the crappy bowels right now...its the only thing keeping them afloat with their trouble in getting sponsors and selling tickets, but then again if their subscriptions keep dropping and that gets cut back it may finally cut the number of bad bowls out there.

Weird precedent...understand it to some degree but wouldn't it be better just to claim a minor injury or something rather than telling your teammates peace and go have fun in that hell-hole while I sign with an agent and start driving a Maserati...

Claim an injury when your goal is maximizing investment by an NFL team? Maybe rethink that.

If it is a minor injury like an ankle or something like that it is one thing ...

I understand the idea to sit the game out ...

That being said, I would expect player personnel people and coaches to strongly discuss what their stance is on this trend with players as it pertains to their evaluation. If you take Pete's expectation of everybody competing McCaffrey's actions come across as being contrary to that ... I could see this being something that could knock a player down on some draft boards.

Wait, I thought he was the ultimate team player. Selfless. Lunch pail.

I don't understand the world anymore.

If you rate a player lower for skipping the Sun Bowl, you should be running the Browns.

It is bullshit.

And it will become more and more common.

Especially with positions where you get hit like a running back

He's a pussy who never belonged in the heisman conversation last year.

Derrick Henry would kick his lily ass.

He's giving a bad name to white football players.
How can they win without a coach on the field??

Sounds like He doesn't bleed Cardinal.

Driving a Maserati might be more dangerous than playing in the game. What say you, @Dennis_DeYoung?

Fuck Chris McCaffrey and fuck white people. What a POS.

So if a millionaire coach bails out on his team before their bowl game to take a job for more millions that's super awesome, but if one of his slaves tries to make a little extra money he is a POS?

Interesting logic.
