My dad is an OG Seahawk fan, been following them since the year they were founded. He got me into them at a very early age. Though we've lived far apart for 16 years, the Hawks have kept me and my father close. His fanhood is legit.

Of course, last year my mother decided to suddenly give a shit about the Hooks. She's a classic 12, could name maybe four players on the team but poasts about the team, follows Russell Wilson on FB, etc.

So I talked to the parentals today to nail down our trip home for the holidays, and dad inevitably turns the conversation to last night's game. He has some good poonts, and is generally not a dumbass about it. Then mom jumps in. "It was a great game! But it must have been so hard for those Cardinals fans to see their team loose like that. They haven't lost at home all year. I just felt so bad for them."

I just don't understand this whole feeling sorry for the other team and/or their fans after a plungering.

If it was up to me, my favorite team would plunger their opponent 56-0 every single game for as long as I'm on this earth.
 
Don't feel bad, their fans are FS. They were saying shit like "Ryan Lindley never had Bruce Arians coaching him! I predict he throws for 250+ and 3 TD's", and "we had 7 sacks against them in Seattle. This game is IN ARIZONA, and 2 of their linemen are out. Were going to get 14 sacks!".

I guess the proper response is all fan bases suck so don't give a shit if their feelings are hurt.
 
It's just going to get worse too with the pussification of people in general. Soon I'm sure their will be penalties for a team being up by too many points/runs/goals.

It sure gets kids ready for the real world by teaching them life is always fair as long as you suck hard enough (lol)

True story: Back in the Willingham days Todd Turner came out to a tailgate that was filled with Bellarmine Prep parents/fans etc. The night before, Bellarmine lost a close game to Seattle Prep. Todd Turner's kid played for Seattle Prep. Turner said to the Bellarmine peeps, "Oh, I felt so bad for you guys."

No bullshit.
 
THA U didn't feel bad when they put 65 on the Huskies. The Seahawks didn't feel bad when they put up 58 on the Cards in 2012.

Yeah, going for fake punts and passing on 90% of the downs when you're up 40 is over the top, but the back-ups better damn well try and no one needs to kneel until the last minute. They might need to start someday.

You have to convey this to your mom.
