Using Rep. Pressley's numbers, 1.7T / 43 million is $39,500 per person in debt. Typically, gov't held student loans are on 10-year terms, but borrowers can sometimes request those to be stretched out to 20-25 years.

Taken at 10 years, the average monthly payment is just under $400 per month. Get a job paying $50k annually and take-home pay each month is about $3500.

I dunno. Seems like a pretty manageable payment to me. Especially as inflation *marginally* drives wages higher (just not 10% annually like costs of goods these days) while that loan payment stays the same.

Problem is, most of these Kobe types that are complaining graduated with degrees in Star Wars fundamentalism, underwater basket weaving, philosophy, sociology, ethnic studies, and medieval art. They blame the big bad rich man of course for not being qualified for actual jobs.
