I had shit thrown at me twice from frat houses. Who throws things at random people past say, eighth grade? I was pretty close to knocking on the door and/or calling SPD, but realized the probable futility. Those fags would have stonewalled me or cried that their daddy is a lawyer, and the cops would take 2 hours to get there and file a report.

I had a couple friends who were in one and they liked it. My thought process was that there are hot drunk sluts at almost every party at UW, and I can skip out on all the participatory shit that comes with being in a frat so I can spend more time studying and smoking weed.

I've gone to a few frat parties at UW. It was fucking geek central. The frats at UW will take anyone who can pay the house fees. The UW student body is mainly academic squares and Asians. Look at the Bon fire party with the String pictures. The kid in the Larry Bird jersey who looks like an extra from That 70's Show is in a frat. He looked like a really cool guy.

The WSU frats are a different story. Still, being in a frat is kind of weak. Who wants to get bossed around. Some little guy saying, "Hey pledge, get me a beer" and you have to get it because you're older? Fuck that.
