Stephon Wright, 2019 4* DE, Cathedral HS, Los Angeles, CA (offered)

Fuck, Ikaika closes this kid out. Holy fuck, I would be open to him getting a shoot at dc job. He can’t be worse than jimmy

I know saying dumb shit in hope of cheap Chins is kinda your thing....

But Lake currently has UW as the 10th best scoring defense and 16th best total defense. And it’s his first season calling plays. And he has walk-ons rotating in the front 6 routinely because of constant injuries to Bowman, Wellington, and Beavers.

So yeah, Ikaika could be much worse than Jimmy.

Recruiting prowess is another story though.

You say this like 10th best is good? We should have been top 5 this year even with the depth issues. Real disappointing season

Yeah, you right. What was I thinking? 10th out of 130 teams with a first year DC who has never called plays, while rotating in walk-ons and missing your 2nd string DT, MIK, and WIL is totally shitty.

Man, I'm fucktarded for thinking that keeping a defensive scoring average in the top 10 of college football would compare to the scoring averages of the previous few years when one of the top 5 DC's in the country was in charge of it all.

Kwat:

2014 - 24.8
2015 - 18.8
2016 - 17.7
2017 - 16.1

Lake:

2018 - 16.6

Lake's defense is still 9th in the S&P+, which Kwat averaged around 7th his last 3 years as DC.

10th best definitely isn't good, and definitely doesn't live up to the standards that Kwat set.

I need ballzdeep to tell me what to think on this new development. How should I feel?

I can save you the wait.

Things change all the time. If you can't handle the ups and downs of recruiting, you should find a new hobby.

He was ready to commit to ___; then he wasn't.

ooops, had to edit to include...

$10.95 please.

Well, this is the only place that had Buelow and Tuitele committed for months before they announced.

So I’d guess we know what we’re talking about.

Biggins just dropped that he is hearing the visit to UW was "eye opening for him and his family" so he decided to take a step back and wants to re-evaluate his options.

Goes on to say that he's "been a silent commit to ASU for about a month" and that this is obviously big for UW.

When is the last time asu won anything meaningful? UW has had some down years over the past decade, but we also have a conference championship and two major bowl appearances.

And there is simply no comparison vis-a-vis academics.

kids...
