Stanford loses DL for year

However, injuries on the offensive side of the ball might actually help them, if only.

Stanford could have the early 2000's Miami defense with Ed Reed and Ray Lewis and they'd still not win the North, because that offense is worse than Washington's. Washington moved the ball better agianst a better defense, with a first time freshman starting quarterback and a limited playbook, than Stanford did with a third year starting senior quarterback.

Ed Reed and Ray Lewis never played together. Reed goes back to '99, Lewis was drafted in '96.

But I feel ya. :)

Reed played with some pretty damn good linebackers anyway: Dan Morgan, Nate Webster, Jonathan Vilma and DJ Williams, among others.
