I'm 1/3 the way into episode two. It's good. Not great, for great is an overused word in our society. It's not great like My Mister. So it's not great, but superb certainly.
The first episode is as good as anything HBO has ever done, imo
Nothing speshul really.
Predictable.
Formulaic.
The OP was actually an inside joke for someone who doesn't even post at Hardcore Husky, but she's going to see that post.[/b] It would take too long to explain it and by the time I got to the end of the story nobody here would care anyway.

Wow this is pretty intense. Interesting turns in the plot.
And yes, you guys were right. Monica Dutton is en fuego.

Another phrase for Billy to look up
Just now starting episode 5. The part where the kid falls into the river was predictable and dumb.
I didn't understand why Beth Dutton took the creepy developer guy to the Honky Tonk just to see him get humiliated and leave. There must be some reason that will be revealed later. Because otherwise it was a rather pointless scene. Though it did enable episode 4 to end on a nice note with that cool song "Stone" which is now a new inhabitant of my iPod.
