Stacking Classes, Building Depth

One of the big keys to me is always looking into recruiting across two cycles, since those are the guys most likely to play with each other.

If we look at what we are getting over two years so far, it's really nice.

You can see pretty easily that life will improve a lot with maybe one more DT, an EDGE guy and a couple more DBs. Maybe an OL. If we get quality there, we are going to be in the B and up category pretty much everywhere.

NEXT YEAR:[/b]
So, this pretty clearly points to what we are going to need next year...

Running back and Edge dudes are going to be especially key next year.

The nice thing is that we are in on three top-level RBs right now (Jones, Davis, Charbonnet) and likely to land at least one. If we replace Boner with Longo, I will be very confident.

At Edge we have always sucked and we will always suck until Coach K stops trying to talk fishing with Kayvon Thibideaux.

I'm a bit surprised you have LB and DB rated so low. I get the recency bias on DB since this year hinges (in this category anyway) on getting Gordon, but I think you shortchanged the LB classes a half grade.

Clearly our BUCK recruiting sucks shit.

The deal with LB is that I'm including SAM here and that means in two years, for 3 positions, we have 4 guys. That's not amazing. If we'd hit on Katoa last year (or someone like him) this would be an A-.

I'm no professional TBSer, or even an amateur one, but the "stacking classes" concept makes a lot of sense to me, and if the upcoming instate classes are as good as Cokehead insists they are, stacking those on top of this class and the previous class begins to give me a nice little sweatpants boner.
