Spurrier ingenuity

DaBore's (maybe Grubby's) apple cup handoff/pitch to Odunze was a much superior design. But if you are going for a play that should not have worked you picked a great one. Rome's play would work against anyone. Ball coach's play - flip a coin. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya?
 
Throbbers high school coach would do something like that on kick returns.

All 11 players would retreat back and huddle up around the ball, then bust loose in 11 different directions.
 
I played football for the Sammamish Bengals for many years. One year our DC came up with the "Bengal Blitz". We sent all eleven guys toward the ball. As I recall, we ran the play twice, gave up two touchdowns.
