Quite honestly if it weren't for the fact UW has been perennially mediocre, they should appeal to a larger receiver like Henry, especially with the midget burners already in place

Plus Petersen should be able to sell to a big WR that he will play with Browning for another 3 years. Developing that kind of rapport is rare in college football because of the constant turnover, graduation, etc.

If it was only that easy. UW spent all their recruiting capital on defense. We've struck out at wide receiver in what was one of the deepest classes in years. Massive disappointment.

Agreed. Barring a last minute surprise, the receiving corps are a major issue. The ranks were already thin before Perkins graduated. Next year you'll see defense cordinators play aggressive: stack the box (;)) to stop Gaskin. Play press coverage against the finesse receivers -Pettis and Ross- and dare Babushka and Browning to beat them over the top.

Babushka has to find a way to use Daniels- is he a TE/Slot? Can you split him further out? Does he have the hands and ability to run good routes? Can Lenius improve? he has the size but plays more like he's 5'5 than 6'5. Who replaces Perkins?

No he just got hired from Southern Miss last month. He might not have left if he knew Monken would leave AND he would be offered the head job but Southern Miss to ASU is a nice jump and he is young. Probably a better career move not to burn the bridge. ASU will score points its their defense that is fucktarded so he will probably get another head job in a year or two.

Neither Fuller or Chin are likely to contribute this season. Both need to redshirt and bulk up. I'm not as low on Fuller as some. He's not flashing but was a highly productive player in a competitive league in North Texas. Went after him early. Chin seems like more of project. You should always put your best athletes on defense however Murphy would be the most likely candidate to see playing time at wide receiver given the need for explosive players. But that's asking a lot for a true freshman. Potential two way guy but his future is at corner.

Perkins was the lone bright spot in the receiving core last season. Very dependable. Daniels needs to step up and fill that void. This is his time to eat up the vacated targets. He's a bit of liability run blocking but poses a difficult matchup for a linebacker. I think you keep him at TE and exploit the mismatches. He'll be given every opportunity to succeed.

I'll believe it when I see it with Lenius. Has the physical tools but that hasn't translated into production. Not that aggressive of a player. Browning's strength is short to intermediate passing and with Ross on the outside and he'll be able to clear out the middle of the field. Pettis should continue to improve and we need a guy like Renfro to develop. Then we have a bunch of Sprolesian type guys out of the backfield.

This is a run first team. The line will continue to gel. Babushka has plenty to work with and there's no excuse for his unit to not respond and execute the offense.

Daniels is a much better run blocker than Perkins ever was. But neither of them are traditional, in-line blocking TEs. Daniels does a great job blocking when he is lined up as a wing or h-back though.

Daniels is a much better run blocker than Perkins ever was. But neither of them are traditional, in-line blocking TEs. Daniels does a great job blocking when he is lined up as a wing or h-back WR though.
