in my illustrious youth I had the entire Fugs collection. I love these guys, members broke off and formed The Holy Modal Rounders and almost became famous

Edit: saw a combo of the Fugs and HMR at the Central Tavern many moons ago

Check out this movie, good stuff. Some of the blacks in New Orleans area are actually Native Americans. They got screwed both ways.

Make several trips per year to Nola. Top 3 city in the country quite easily - fuck Vegas. Stay out of the projects and it's a delightful place.

Might try to hit the New Orleans Jazz Festival in May. If not this year, next.

Mardi Gras is uber fun (not the French Quarter, that's for tourists). Many of the Krewes are derived from tribal origins which is why you see all the Indian feather gear.

It’s not AC/DC(a 4-5 player band)..they are not only a team of many instruments, solo, artists, every instruments including violins, base, whatever, the lights, the show..the Electric Light Orchestra..Jeff Lynne was an icon of music.

Went down a rabbit hole and ran into these guys. This is a Russian group that mostly covers Chicago and does a few others. They are surprisingly good. Here is a cover of the Tower of Power song "So Very Hard to Go" (He's not Lenny Williams but does OK)
