Song of the Day

Ya check out Guitar George - he knows all the chords - but it's strictly rhythm, he doesn't want to make it cry or sing..............

I saw this band (without Bob, who had passed on) at Bumbershoot in about 82 or so. A bunch of 60-80 year old dudes in suits and Stetsons, rocking it. It was in the opera house, SRO. My dad saw them the night before he shipped out for WWII. When I asked him about it, he said "50 cents to get in, beer was a dime, lots of girls. I think I had a pretty good time"...csb

Bob Wills is still the king.

saw the rajun cajun at Parker's ballroom about 1980 - first time ever hearing Orange Blossom Special. He had a quiver on his back filled with bows
