Something I don't understand about local radio shows

It happens all the time. Breaking news occurs so the local hosts schedule some writer from ESPN.com or The Sporting News to come on to talk about the new trade or whatever. But these guys are so far away from the Seattle team that they don't know shit compared to the hometown hosts. So the interview ends up being a waste of everyone's time, but no one will acknowledge that fact.

flagged for listening to local sports radio.

(I thought I would save Boobielips the effort)

I do agree with that. Mitch does a decent job of getting the local person from, say, Phoenix for the Trumbo trade. The only national person I've heard that knows anything about Seattle is Cowherd. You would think the Seahawks making two super bowls would help others know a little more about our team, but not really.

And don't get me started on knowledge of the huskies, no one knows shit.
