Zeus !!I was missing a dive watch in the collection and with the secondary market continuing to dip below retail and summer around the corner, I decided to get back in the game with a Rolex SeaDweller43 126600
While still bigger, heftier, less common than the submariner, it's much more manageable as an everyday wear than the Deepsea (44mm, 18mm thick).
Has the 50 year anniversary throwback redline, helium escape valve, guide lock, and extension link.

Very nice. You can now rest assured that you will always place ahead of me on the big dick watch scale.
It's a 16760 Fat Lady Coke. I think my dad paid $2500 for the watch in the mid 80's. Seems to have held it's value OK. Lulz. Both are classic. Assuming it’s a 16710 and not a fat lady 16760 you can go to an AD and pick up a Pepsi and change it out for like $80. I have a Coke with oyster and bought a Pepsi bezel and jubilee bracelet at the local AD in Washington DC. Lots of choices to mix it up with those combos now.
This is my feeling as well. The current era of Rolex GMTs and Subs look so dang blingy with the Ceramic Bezels. Aluminum harks bark to a different era when Rolex was still a watch that a C-4 Corvette driving, upper middle class douche bag could aspire too if you saved for a bit.My opinion on the aluminum / ceramic question doesn't matter much since I'm not versed in the history of Rolex or as an owner of one of their watches. That said, I tried on a newer Kermit with Ceramic bezel a couple months ago and it was too over the top flashy for my personal preferences at the moment. Too luxury looking for me. I do, after all, drive a Billy Jo Camaro instead of a German sports sedan.
