Some watch shots

Upgraded my first Seiko after realizing I hadn't worn it since I got the golden turtle. Domed sapphire crystal, sub-style bezel, ceramic bezel insert.

I think this Seiko looks incredible, and I lust after having a spring drive movement. Problem is it's $6,600 which is insane to me for something with a regular Seiko logo on it.

Gorgeous. I love made in Japan for so much stuff...cars, hi fi, whisky....I’ll never buy a Japanese watch though. Just has no cache.

Let’s say I was a wealthy woman, or had a generous luv-vah that liked buying me expensive baubles...I would totally add a Grand Seiko to my collection and wear it proudly.

I have a bit of a watch crush on this one:

Grand Seiko makes an incredible watch, but they feel cold to me. No soul. Hard to explain. Very clinical watches.

I get it. It's like buying a Camry versus a Mustang. One is like driving an appliance, even though it's probably better engineered.

The GSs are a fantastic watch, by any measure, but yes, they just don't "move" me.

Occasionally GS does some fun stuff, like this Godzilla watch:

But yeah, they’re like a fully loaded Honda CR-V with leather seats.

Exactly this. If watches evoked the feelings of cars, it would be something like this:

Vintage Rolex: A gritty purpose built tool

Modern Rolex: Sleek and powerful but approachable

FP Journe: A work of art.

Audemars Piguet: Classic and stunning. With soul for days.

Grand Seiko: Impeccable in all respects, but my boring ass dentist drives it.

Are there any GS' that at least approach this level of Lexus? Cuz this is one I would drive in a heartbeat (yes I am skipping the LF-A).
