Some changes coming to the site

Am I the only one who woke up not able to view the site in the mobile format? I can only see the site in the desktop format from my phone. The link at the bottom of the page that allows you to switch back and forth is no longer there.

I have alerted them about this.

I realize I'm saying some stuff that has been said already but since our product manager appears to be Karen Ramrod.
Mobile in general but layout, quotes, and typing poasts in general are really bad. Usability is really suffering.
Typing on mobile is especially awful, it's doing it as I type this now. Jumps around where typing is landing seemingly randomly, deletes content that has been typed already, etc. Can't @people 81% of the tim for seemingly no reason. Combine it with the terrible quote function and it makes typing anything meaningful a gamble not worth investing time in.
Fix basic typing, quoting, and @'s on mobile (in that order) and at least you have a usable product again. Layout can come later.
When I went forward with this I did not realize it was going to be such an incremental live testing. I wanted us to put our best foot forward by August but by this point it doesn't seem feasible so I'm reverting back to what we had.

You’re not the only one. It’s gone for me too.

You’ve run this site for 12+ years and putting a best foot forward is something you think we can do? I’m surprised that I’m surprised.

I actually liked the new format. I did run into one issue where just quoting someone it said I met my character limit but other then that, I'd adjusted.

I liked the new format too and thought it had potential. However, it probably would have been better to have more of the bugs worked out prior to any (test) launch.

Yeap, hopefully that means they are working on fixing mobile.

who will be leading us? in husky jacks in august?

Virtually everyone's feedback is being forwarded to the IT guy, along with my comments.
In the next few days or couple weeks I'll make a decision to either cut bait and return to our previous layout, or we'll forge ahead. I appreciate everyone's feedback. One way or another, we'll have our best foot forward come August 1 and the fall camp.
Does that include all the butthole talk?🤔

It's like when Coke switched from sugar to corn syrup back in the early 80s, and it didn't taste quite the same, and people complained. So they came out with New Coke a few years later knowing everyone would hate it, which made everyone thankful for Classic Coke when they brought it back, even though it still had corn syrup.
It's like when my mom would spank me and I'd cry and scream that I had the most abusive parents in the world. Then my dad would get out his belt and spank me until I'd bleed, as if to say "See? We can get A LOT more abusive than that!", so that next time my mom spanked me with her hand, I wouldn't think it was so bad. But hey, enough about what happened last weekend.
