Solomon Tuliaupupu, 4* 2018 OLB, Santa Ana (Mater Dei), CA (Offered)

After landing Palaie Gaoteote out of nowhere today, SC already has 3 4*/5* LB commits for 2018. They look 3 last class too... overall that depth chart is loaded. Given all that, is this guy still an SC lock?

Out of nowhere in the sense that it was inevitable, I suppose.

I think he's more an Inside Linebacker anyway. Palaie and Scott seem like OLBs, and Calvert could grow into a DE. There's still a small chance we can get him, but I doubt it's because of who they've signed.

OSU thought they had just as much of a shot.

When was the last time we signed a top 5 player in their respective positions?

February 1st.

(Hunter Bryant)

Before that probably Shaq.

Jacob Sirmon has a good shot.

That's another committed linebacker today
to SC. Plus a bunch last year. Got a shot here.

Started writing a thread about it before I saw your comment. I think he's probably #2 of all the LBs on USC's board so they'll find room for him no matter what... but there will be good LBs who get told "no" as a result who we could go after.
