So what happens when 2013 isn't special?

What happens? Nothing.

75% of the fans "support the team and coaches." As long as we're above 500 most years and have a Special year (9 - 3) every decade or so, he's got a job for as long as he wants it. We are now in the same league as Cal. Politically correct, special and just happy to field a somewhat decent team that wins a big game every year or two.

Tedford didn't get into hot water until he had those sub 500 years. Starting in 2011, I asked the question on Dawgboy all the time, "Is Steve another Tedford?" Of course he is.

Funny thing is on a May 2010 HHB podcast there was a reference to AANDY telling readers to hang on because 2012 was shaping up to be a special season.

Disagree. Tedford put together some pretty good teams in his first seven or so years, and if Sark is following the same arc as Tedford, than he should have had two 10 win seasons by year five.

Sadly not much. To many people view .500 and a crappy bowl game as winning. I'm pretty sure that the current coaches didn't agree with that view when they started here but the attitude of mediocraty is infectious and if the stadium is packed to watch average football than ats what he'll deliver.

I like how that site shows the rankings and if a team was ranked pre and post-season and it's highest ranking during the year. It's interesting to see that Tedford only had 3 years (04-06) where he had a team that was ranked both before before and after the season.

Meanwhile, Seven Win Steve has had his UW team ranked only 3 times in 4 seasons.
