So that’s what happened to NWG

By the time Ross' current contract expires he will have made $91 million. WTF?

This is why I roll my eyes at people, not you, other people who bemoan someone for jumping early and not being an all star playing on shit teams for 10 years in the NBA.

Ross was a Top 10 pick ... he absolutely should go at that point unless there’s a super compelling reason to stay

When I get critical it’s because guys are going without a clear first round path without guaranteed money ... if you’re a 2nd rounder the odds aren’t in your favor ... at that point if you have the opportunity to come back and improve it’s an option worth considering

This also wasn't about you. It's the "they haven't done anything in the league" line.

I know

The thing for me is that there’s lots of factors to consider ... too often decisions are made focusing on the short term “get paid” and having too many people trying to get theirs filling you with hot air

The only thing I disagree with people on is the thought that guys automatically get better by turning pro because they have more time to devote to basketball.

The structure in college, getting actual playing time, and being able to grow up and be more ready for the league is often times a positive.

Teams give up on lottery picks after 1-2 seasons all the time. Terrence Ross has a steady place in the NBA that should last a few more years. He’s a good scorer off the bench. A lot of guys aren’t and would be better off returning to school. It’s not a one size fits all thing.
