40ish, decent looking chick looks at me after taking my order and says, "Oh, I noticed you have a lot of UW stuff on, my daughter just graduated from there.."
Me: "Yeah, your daughter is pretty awesome, did she make the trip down to Houston?"
Her: "Houston?"
Me: "Yeah. For the national championship game."
Her: "For football?"
Me: "Yeah we were just in the national championship for football. When I graduated we were 5-7 pieces of shit so that must have been cool to actually be able to do all this if she could afford it"
Her: "No, she wasn't interested in any of it and she now lives with us."
Me: "......"

Me: "......."
Me: "I'll get this 4 pack to go and another for here and close out thanks."

If this exchange did happen, it honestly makes you look pretty bad(talking down to a bartender for her newly graduated daughter not spending thousands of dollars to attend a football game when they are obviously living paycheck to paycheck) so I’m not sure what point you think you’re trying to make here. I’m sure she went home after a 10hr shift on her feet and appreciated being sneered at by the tech king of Washougal, WA.

I was pretty drunk when I made the thread and wasn't expecting much of a response or anyone to care.
The whole point of it was that when I was a student I didn't even get to go to a bowl game, so yeah there's a bit of resentment there with the Gen Z alums. Also this person didn't really give off the vibe of some struggling single mom. Probably a dual income family which I must be one of the only fucking people in this area that doesn't need my wife to work.
