Green was celebrating Wheaton and the pick. I was celebrating Janoski as evidenced by my avatar earlier. Who cant forget the great #19 prancing onto the field like Roger Craig, with his knee high compression socks. Then sashaying again like a deer out to his WR position where everyone and their mother knew the ball wasn't going, and when it was, the DB's just toyed with him like one would his little brother (picture your hand and arm extended on your little brothers scalp, while you're little brother tried helplessly to punch you. ) That was Dave Janoski on EVERY fucking route he ran at Washington.
So why did Lamboner and his career - ending purple helmets approve a little tickey - tack out rout to Janoski with Nip waiting like a thoroughbred in the gate? Because Janoski was the second coming of Jerry Rice and had to have the ball in his hands. Hence the Avatar.
Janoski was Lambright's go to weapon at WR. James deserved part the blame because he recruited gadgets like Damon Mack, Jason Shelley (a fucking headcase) and Theron Hill (5'10" and nothing between the ears) Hence Janoski ' s rise to stardom and Bjornson blossoming on the other end. He at least was 6-5 and fast. The great polack was 5-8, slow, no hops and no reach and doomed UW for 20 years while Bjornson could have been a hero and UO could still be in the tank
So the reasons we both had the same avatar were for very different reasons. And I'll never argue with a duck over avatars here.. Just honor janoski on what is the coming 20th anniversity of the pick and shut the fuck up.
