Jimmy Dougherty is a yes man former sark butt boy. A guy who has been an NFL OC might actually be able to influence Jedd from the booth as Tedford did Petersen in his brief stint with us in 2016.

Jimmy D is whatever. Carrol went from college to the pros to work for his dad. Not really a step down. Fired? Yes but his career trajectory was up following hisUW stint. Belichik went from DC at UW to DC at NC. Not much of a step down. Bala went from LB coach at UW to CoDC at Florida. Sunseri went from safeties coach at UW to a DC at a G5 I think. It’s not completely awful. Graham and Cummings seem like good coaches. Mays was a solid choice at safety. Walters was a great pickup. Odom is recruiting well and I thought the LB play was pretty good last year. Switzer seems like a clear upgrade over Carrol. Kafusi had one good recruiting year last year. Replicate that and he can stay. Poopoo is not my favorite, kinda a lazy recruiter, but his guys do develop and generally get their shot at the pros. It’s not all bad. Just wish Judd would make a Walters type hire for OC. That ain’t happening.
