I love the quotes from Gaetz, but they made this move without a plan for what comes next. All that being said, the question is whether it's more likely that the establishment R's negotiate with Gaetz to elect the next speaker, or if they negotiate with Jeffries and the Dems to get the small number of votes they need for their next speaker.

Seems like the Uniparty has a great chance to win, again.

McCarthy supposedly had control of the entire House and thus a veto over the budget. The border is a winning issue for Americans but not for the US Chamber of Commerce and thus not for McCarthy and a bunch of republican RINOs. Gaetz is right, he doesn't want his name associated with American decline. Team Dazzler and McConnell and McCarthy don't give a sh*t. You could have made the shutdown solely about securing the border. But they didn't. Not much money to be made as one of a couple of hundred republican Congressman. Lots of upside to being a successful American Speaker. Shows how much power the uniparty has when it can work over the years on once American politicians. McConnell and McCarthy bear no resemblance to the people they were when elected. See Tom DeLay. You think the chicoms are upset about McConnell and McCarthy.
