Serious Update: Pup has passed away

Man what a legend. Pup used to trigger me at times but who could stay mad at the guy? He did a real service here. He turned more threads into classics in a week than I ever will, that's for sure.

Pup raging about Lincoln Riley after Oklahoma lost to Georgia in OT will always be my favorite.

He's actually right if you consider Riley's trajectory to LA.

Pumpy will be greatly missed.

He was a savant with words in a way i've never seen replicated on any other hobby board, genius level stuff at his best.

One of my proudest moments on HH was when he responded to one of my posts "good chit doogles". As a young doog it was an "I have arrived" type moment. It was the message board version of Ken Griffey Jr. watching my batting practice and saying "nice swing". I understand how pathetic that is as I type it and I don't care, he was a legend to me.

2013-2017 had some dark days, often one of his posts would be the only true "laugh out loud" moment I'd have for a time. I looked forward to his stories. He brought more than entertainment, it was joy, it was perfect.

I have a feeling Mary Magdalene has already gone to the sink for a wet rag and some soap and water.

RIP Pump.

Damn, I got choked up. He was by far the most entertaining and I seemed to be one of a handful he liked, although he told me off several times. I was just trying to lure my mom's stupid schizo cat who had crawled into the innards of the bed box springs Sunday night with Fancy Feast and thought of all his hilarious stories and antics. RIP buddy.

Pup and Steel2 were the only two posters to stand with Petersen in years one and two. Yobates and the Fire Marshall came on board in years three and four. Now dipshits like @YellowSnow "knew it all along". You pathetic fuck

Pup's bi-polar disorder used to always throw me for a loop.

I can recall back in July 2017, Pup, sending me a DM with an invite to stop by the Skokomish estate for a Laphroaig 15 after a day up at Steven's. 2 weeks later, he'd forget who I was and call me a New Fish who'd never been to game in Husky Stadium during the Lambo glory years.

I'm just glad I got the pleasure of running one of the all time great, Hardcore Husky legends before he moved onto the happy hunting grounds.

The way he'd forget who posters were, and who he had argued with about what, was one of his funniest qualities.

There were only a handful of handles that he seemed to remember who consistently had his seal of approval. I used to think a couple of them, Steel2 and Yobates, were imaginary allies or alts that he had tried and failed to create. I was a little disappointed when I learned they were actual posters.

I wasnt here during the Pup glory years, and like George Foremans return, I got to see the shell of a once legend throw a few decent haymakers. He is definetly part of the foundation laid here.

RIP Pup, WDWYA

Pup enjoyed messing with people on the site/getting the clicks in a different persona which was different from the guy I knew since we went to jr high, high school and then college. He was passionate about family, Husky football, his friends and his many hobbies. Fishing, hunting, snow skiing. He battled tremendously under his circumstances(in a lot of pain) and frustration but stayed positive. I will miss him very much as we texted and communicated multiple times a week. He had so much fun when my son and I watched Husky games with him. RIP Bake/Pup. Thank you Derek

Damn I only caught the last couple years of his posting career. Was always expecting him to poke back in at some point

T's and P's.

I hate hearing news like this because it hits very close to home for me

It's easy to harken back to all of the memorable posts he made and his clear passion

I'm happy to hear though that he was able to make the difficult decisions with a clear mind and is no longer in pain

Nobody deserves to live life in the kind of pain that one is in when they have to make the decision to stop life enabling efforts in a hospital

Best wishes to all of his friends and family
