Serious question, what is the difference between American media today and the old Soviet Pravda?

At the end of the Soviet Union I don't think there were many true believing Soviet commies left. Working for Pravda was just a job that someone had to do. Today, the US MSM are not just in it for the job, but they think they are doing God's work. In their world, the Christian right is just about to take over the country and the US needs to be saved from the alt right and Trump. Dan Rather hated Bush and he thought he was doing God's work. Russian collusion? God was telling them to lie for the greater good.

If it meant crashing the economy and losing people to heart disease, depression and addiction it was just a means to get Trump and needed to be done for the greater good. Kind of like how making everything about race even when it’s not is necessary to rid us of the shackles of white oppression.
 
Had to quit watching MSNBC and CNN because of the unfair coverage against Biden. Un-American!

Sweet Geezus, you serious? Were there cameras in the room? This is the media right? So surely they have video and audio of the meeting they're now using to report on the meeting right? Because according to you , the meeting wasn't in "secret" it was a public meeting that we can all watch and listen to?

We're reverting to Obama era kneepadding.

So they did show video and play a recording of the meeting? This is the President meeting with the press discussing how they think the press should be covering them. We know zero of the details regarding this meeting. Seems pretty "secret" to me.
