Given what we have coming back, it is going to be a rough year. I will say 20 wins at best and on the tourney bubble entering our conference tournament. Let's see after next year. Before firing somebody, you have to have a guy in mind and I don't know who that is right now.

There are a dozen good up and coming coaches in any given year. Go get one.

Whats funny is if this was football, we wouldn't be calling for Petersen's job but his assistants. Who on the staff needs to go? Hop is a defensive guy and the defense really isn't the problem. Our offensive blows and our guard play is bad. Is that on Dollars or Conroy? We can blame Rice for Bey. This year is only a disaster because of PG depth. We would be in the tourney if Quade could pass a fucking class.

Steal the Cuog ala Marv Harshman. Their overall talent level is laughable for a Pac 12 team aside from Elleby. But Cuog bitch slapped Hop twice this season.

The assistants primary job is to recruit. Zero commits means they absolutely suck at it.

Make Hop fire the assistants himself and then fire him. Basic corporate move.

Save the buyout cash for football is a funny comment, but there is some truth there.

Mainly, the collapse this year was so sudden and extreme that I can't help but think it's possible more is at play than just bad coaching.

Something is terribly broken, no doubt, and it's alarming the lack of offensive scheme, player development, and roster management, but let him bite the bullet next year in a do or die season.

I know we're not UNC by any stretch of the imagination, but Roy Williams just went first to worst this year with a more stacked roster than UW.

Roy has earned the benefit of the doubt unlike Hop, but when you fuck with one and dones this can happen. I agree with Road the recruiting strategy needs to change for a program like UW.

Dude is better than Hop but that doesn't make him good.

Roy has won titles. That gives you leeway. He will fix it soon. Hop has nothing curently in the roster that can be tweaked. We aren’t a player away. We are five players away. The next two years will be ugly.

Sure most fans would be saying that but isn’t the HH mantra it is always the head coach?

Also, obviously football is orders of magnitude more complicated in terms of scheming and the number of different positions and techniques to be taught. As others said wtf do assistants in basketball even do other than recruit and motivate?
