This. We are going to suck next year and it will be a real topic that even doogs will consider. Might as well just do it now.

Get the facility built....then fire him

Isn’t it being built anyways? That’s not a reason to keep a coach. He’s not getting fired so there isn’t much point in hoping for it, but he absolutely should. He’s basically starting from scratch next year in year 4. The program and roster was better in Hop’s first year than it will be next year. That’s a huge problem.

I’ve said it a bunch already, but last in the conference with a team that had hype and started the year off well, along with zero commits for next year makes it an easy decision to fire him. We will regret not doing it sooner. We are just pushing back the inevitable.

Given what we have coming back, it is going to be a rough year. I will say 20 wins at best and on the tourney bubble entering our conference tournament. Let's see after next year. Before firing somebody, you have to have a guy in mind and I don't know who that is right now.

Wish we would have hired Eric Musselman.

That part can be fixed. Start researching and going thru the backchannels to find a new coach.

I wouldn’t care if they fired him after this year though

Waffled between yes and no. Question is, is Hop going to be just a continuation of Syracuse, or adapt.

A continuation of Syracuse? They aren’t ever getting last in the conference.

Cohen should have somebody in mind. That’s her job. Who gives a fuck if KrunkJuice from HardcoreHusky has someone in mind.

There are a dozen good up and coming coaches in any given year. Go get one.
