Eklund says there are 2 official visitors this weekend (besides Germie and the Hamsterdam kid) that he cannot reveal yet.

Sounds like the 4th visitor is Jordan Perryman, FCS All-American CB who played for UC Davis. Would be a solid portal pickup

Need a starter-ready corner to play opposite of Covington

Justyn Martin is on campus per doogman and ucla boards as well

Has offers from all across the country, would be stoked to get a quality QB on-board.

Eklund says he only visited because he thought Chip might be leaving UCLA

Which means he's a lock to UW?

Is Penix a lefty?

Yes and he suffered ACL injuries to end his season twice as well as a separated throwing shoulder in Oct of this year (not needing surgery).

He had his best season by far under DeBoer in 2019. Jack Tuttle (transfer from Utah) replaced him after his injury in 2021 and didn't do all that well either.

What's the story with Penix? I remember him having one amazing year but haven't followed him that closely

5-1 in 2019 as a starter with DeBoer as his OC before getting hurt.

5-1 in 2020 as a starter before getting hurt. He almost led IU to an upset of Ohio State in Columbus, throwing for just shy of 500 yards and 5 TDs. I think he was considered a darkhorse Heisman candidate at the time. Then he played poorly against Maryland and got hurt.

Didn't watch him this year but it looks like he was bad.
