No love for the Alki Tavern or the Moon Temple Cocktail Lounge.

Bunch of North End Provincials on these boreds. Not even the Buckaroo.

What's wrong with you people?

That said, I was in the Blue Moon once with a hot lady friend who asked the bartender for a cleann ashtray, whereupon the gray haired dude grabbed the ashtray, dumped it on the floor, and tossed it back onto the table.

Now that's a fucking Dive for ya.

Great call on the Alki Tavern. Many many nights I crawled out of there on my lips.

I’m very much a West Seattle guy so all my choices are West Seattle centric.

The Alki Tavern might’ve been my favorite all tim dive bar.

Pogies is somehow still in business despite massive gentrification in the junction.

I always The 5 Point was quite the dive bar.

And lastly, there’s a place called BeeZees in the Burien/Des Moines/Seatac area.

You just saying The Junction got me warm and fuzzy. Easy Street. Good tims. Why did Seattle have to become such a shithole?

They still sweep and clean in the Junction. For now.

Until Faggot Inslee shuts it down completely.

Haven't been to the Junction in many many years, but had some great tims there back in the day. Seattle was such a cool fucking city man 20-30 years ago.

Before they closed my wife and I spent A LOT of time in Jimmy Woo's Jade Pagoda. The best juke box in town, when they still filled them with albums. Stiff drinks, cheap beer, no windows. You could go in at 1pm and stay until close and it was like a time warp. Easy place to destroy a day off and spend all your spare cash. I proposed to my wife in front of a boarded up Jimmy Woo's and we named our German Shepard/Samoyed Jade in honor of our damaged livers.

Worked across the street at Boondock's for awhile. Waitstaff was gay AF, but the Cornish student hostesses were young, beautiful, horny and willing.

Abundant daddy issues. Literally a gift from God.

Downtown Seattle circa 1995 was da bomb

You missed the two Roanokes, not related.

Shout out to the original Swannies, where the old school beisbol dudes did their post-game drinking, Kingdome version.

Edit: 2 other also-rans...the Roanoke down the end of 10th, and the Korthaus in Phinney Ridge (RIP)...

Swannie died last year. He spent the last several years in Roslyn/Cle Elum, where I'd see him at the Brick, wearing his "Hillman City Boxing Gym" jacket and helping out like a busboy as Alzheimers slowly took him out. Sad ending for a funny, gritty true-Seattleite original who used to yell at the cops in his restaurant to get off their asses when a homeless vagrant would come inside and harass customers.

Roanoke Inn was too classy - when I hung out with the rich bitches from MI it was the Islander.
