School Shooting in Georgia.

Me paying to register my gun would have no impact on saving any lives. Floor is yours to show how it could. Bearswiin is definetly a gun grabber, so while you may have pure motives he definetly just wants government to exercise raw power. Get control over your fellow leftists then we can talk.
Who said you would have to pay? I'd say it should be free. I could even see the government paying gun owners to get licensed and their previously owned guns registered.
New gun purchases registered automatically. License required to buy.
Big ideas here.

I’d pay money to not be on a list and be left alone. Its not about the money.

You brought up money.
So you don't actually give a shit about a simple idea that can help reduce guns in the hands of those who shouldn't have them, despite it not affecting you in any way.
Fuck everyone else. Unalienable!

No one benefits more from school shootings than the NRA and the DNC.
A bunch of unserious people Sabre-rattling about banning guns for political points and then doing nothing and then a bunch of other people buying guns in response.
The social media influencers practically jerk off to this shit. JoJoFromJerz climaxed as the news broke.
HH and Mello offer their weak ass snarky quips and that’s about it. The DNC has had both halls of Congress AND the White House 8 of the last 16 years and those pussies never put their money where their mouth is.
Just like abortion. Truly the anti-crime and pro women party😂
Unserious comment. You gals think even modest regulation equals banning guns and you oppose everything that's ever proposed.
And you proposal is?
I don’t own guns so I’m open to your suggestion. I do know other countries don’t have regular and repeated mass shootings.

So which of the proposals you’ve seen do you support?
Mass stabbings are OK in Dazzlerland.

Your friend @BearsWiin is exactly the reason I’m not willing to compromise. He’ll never stop.

I don’t think he’s doing it for the wrong reasons. He’s wrong on everything but he has a pure heart, it’s the other low testosterone jackals that lurk behind him and eager to take the next step that are the problem. Ern is the unknowing Trojan horse for what the actual plans are.

Name some Ern
Don't play dumb with me, boy! You're aware of gun regulations.

But ban assault weapons, yes. That's a ban I support. I'm on the record.

bUt bUyBaCks!!! reeeee

Georgia
Define assault rifle. Is it fully semiautomatic?
I'd say 53 seconds @pawz but the question is still unanswered.
Basically like the rest of this thread.
Fully semi-automatic, lolz
I expect you know fully well that assault weapons have no consistent definition, even among the 7 states with assault weapon bans.
The 1994 federal ban defined it as "In general, assault weapons are semiautomatic firearms with a large magazine of ammunition that were designed and configured for rapid fire and combat use."
I also expect you know fully well the types of weapons and modifications used in many mass shootings, and what common sense regulations and banning of certain weapons/mods mean, but the Tug is incapable of addressing or admitting an issue exists. Deflections and strawmen always. Kamala mandatory buybacks! Reeeeee. So dumb.
Common sense regulations, mental health investment, and law enforcement reforms are all part of a comprehensive strategy that's needed to attack gun violence, especially the mass killing type. These can all co-exist, believe it or not.
Same shit with climate change. The Tug can't even admit problems and needs for solutions exist as a baseline.
Ignorance is bliss, I guess.
Good Lord! You're daft!

I need to register it with the state. For what purpose? I’ve already gotten a background check, what other business is there to sort out? Your ideal is a soft blacklist, which I’m on guaranteed. Not for doing anything wrong but simply for questioning the states integrity publicly.
Yet you have a driver's license and register your car annually without question. Or do you?
Yes, because there are annoying consequences if I don't. And I knew what those were when I purchased the car. What are the consequences if I fail to register my gun(s)?
Also sounds like solid logic to have voter ID, but that's a bridge too far as we know.
Don't deflect.
It's not unreasonable for legal things that can cause death to have some basic requirements. It's a societal good. Imagine roadways without licenses, vehicle registrations, and insurance requirements. If you genuinely care about providing society with a better means to curb gun violence, particularly kids getting massacred at schools, you should have no problem registering your gun and licensing your capability to operate one. I can't figure out why any rational brain would disagree with that. This is not infringement on 2nd amendment rights, it would be common sense legislation. For any law abiding citizen who cares about gun violence, that is. Nobody is taking your guns. Just sack up and get a license and gun registration. It'll take a half hour out of your day every few years. Small price to pay for your right to shoot shit with death bullets. It ain't crazy. Do you have a warrant or something?
Owning arms is a constitutional right. Driving is a privilege! Damn they didn't teach you any of this in commie 101?

Fern, I'm not a danger but they'd take mine too. People drive drunk and kill people so let's ban all cars! But back program? Semi trucks are super assault cars! Ban. Trains! Airplanes!
Thefounders would tell you to kiss their arse!

@Sledog
Nobody is taking away your guns or right to own guns, bruh. We just need some reasonable requirements and/or regulations on the extreme weapons and mods that are currently legal, often the ones used in mass killings. You don't need those to hunt pheasant. And you should have to reload normally, like men.

It's not about hunting comrade! It's about being able to overthrow a tyrannical government. The founders had just defeated the most powerful army on the planet to secure our freedom they weren't out hunting deer!
Spell these "modifications and accessories" of which you speak. I can't wait to hear this!

Our founders were rockin' muzzleloaders. I'm imagining the Mandalay Bay shooter trying to fill 600 people with lead with a muzzleloader. I'd argue it would be impossible. He'd probably get 5 shots in at best.
But yeah, your bump stock freedoms.

They had the most advanced weapons available. Cannons too! I posted a meme about it a while back of a quote. Go find it.

So if I already own an assault weapon can I keep it?
I imagine so. Voluntary buybacks seem sensible though. And licensing/registration, like driving a car. Whatever it takes to help keep that shit in responsible citizen's hands and away from the scum. Any law abiding citizen should have no problem with this if they care about reducing gun violence.
This isn't black and white. There will always be bad actors trying to skirt the system, but it needs to be harder to do so. It's about reducing risk, not eliminating it. That would be impossible.
I don't have the answers, I only have ideas and an understanding that new solutions are needed. The status quo is insane. American gun culture is crazy. I understand the appeal. I don't own, but I've used many times. I get it. I also understand the appeal of oxycodone.
I think it’s cute that you think you need to license and register a car to own one.

No. You need to license and register a car and get a license and buy insurance if you want to legally use one. At any given point on the road at least a quarter of the drivers are driving uninsured. And cops aren’t even pulling drivers over now when the tabs are expired.

So no, you don’t have to license or register a car to own one.

So why should I license or register a gun if I’m not going to go out and use it. Hunters already buy licenses. My guns are in my house or in my holster. What advantage would there be to anyone to license or register them other than making it easier to know where they are for the non mandatory take back.

First quote may be a few quotes strung together. Second is pretty straight forward don't you think?

Black and white thinking, again. Ignorant of what I said entirely.
Of course there's people skirting the regs on the road. I've been there. Would you rather have zero regulations on the road, with no capability and insurance requirements? Cmon now.
There's 350 million people in this country and 500 million guns produced since 1899. Dozens of mass murders a year, many in schools and grocery stores with AR15s, modifications, and the like. We gonna just throw up our hands and let bygones be bygones? Fuckin' 'ell.

No regulations on guns huh? Weird. Seems like every one I’ve ever bought I had to pass the background check and wait the waiting period.

I wonder if the 14 year old school shooter’s background check came in clean when he legally purchased his gun.

Or did he get it some other way?
