Adam Smith coined the invisible hand, but he wasn't the one who said that if a store sells you rotten meat you can just take your shitty doo doo ass to a different store that serves people in the process of dying from diarrhea.

That's what I was referring to. I actually like Adam Smith. It's not his fault that morons like Friedman perverted his work.

Cardboard Jimmy gets after it in recruiting. What did you expect?

We are going to be monsters on the crootin’ trail with Jimmy as HC. All we have to worry about is if he can handle being HC. I tend to think he can. We’ll see.

I don't specifically know the provenance of Cardboard Pete, but I assume it refers to his lack of genuine love of recruiting which might have manifested itself in looking like a cardboard cutout in pictures.

I get the impression Jimmy sees it as another, or even the main, battlefield, and enjoys it as another competition. He doesn't seem to think sales is distasteful. In short, I think the cardboard appellation needs to be retired.

How about Sizzlin Jimmy, or Jimmy Jazz?

In retrospect, it probably was him hating recruiting. But Cardboared Pete was born from a string of like 10 recruit photo ops in the first full cycle that all looked the same. It might have been Coker or Dennis that coined one. Cardbored Pete was undefeated there for a bit.
