To Sark's credit, he stayed the course for one week.

Similar to alcoholics who go "I'm done drinking for awhile". Doesn't drink Friday night, then gets hammered the rest of the weekend.

It's like that scene from The Naked Gun when Lt Drebin is at the hospital visiting fellow cop OJ Simpson who had been shot 40 times and was in intensive care.

Drebin is talking to Simpson's wife and says "Wilma, I promise you not one cop on this police force will rest for one minute until the scum who did this is behind bars."

And then he turns to another cop and says "now let's go get a bite to eat."
