Sam Taimani (Vakalahi), 4* 2018 OL/DL, Salt Lake City (East), UT (COMMITTED)

According to Roof, he's decided not to take those visits to ND or Alabama and is considering committing in the near future. Good signs (if true)

PLEASE GOD.

Getting him in the boat early would be insanely good for us. He's not 'elite' but he's right below that level. If we have him and Bynum in the fold for inside guys, we can afford to relax a little bit.

I like Cravesit a lot, too. Togiai is obviously the big prize, but I don't see any way that happens.

Ayyyyyyyyyy Sammmmmm Mala kaliki maka brudda! Washington home of da champs and beat down of da notra dames. Don't do it brudda god with da waves and Washington home of da pac 12 champs bruddddaaa.

To be fair, this is the same Notre Dame insider who said Dylan Morris was a "lock" to leave the state and had him confidently crystal balled to ND

This is just typical crystal balling someone
when they take an unofficial. Drives business.

Vakalahi is one of those kids who gushes about every trip. I don't mean that as an insult, he's not a prima donna as far as I can tell. He's just excited to see new places and programs. I wouldn't put too much stock into anything he says while on a trip or shortly thereafter. Let's see how he's talking about ND in three weeks.

Honestly though if he ends up preferring the Offensive Line (as it seems he does), he'll probably end up at Notre Dame. Good thing Jackson Cravens has gotten some Crystal Balls to Utah the last few days too!

steve wiltfong, who is usually dead accurate also CB'd him to ND

Wiltfong also had Morris to ND with Loy too, but Wiltfong usually gets wind of when he's wrong too and will switch prior to commitment.

Polys are old school respectful of elders and people in positions of authority. They have a hard time saying no.
