Sam Huard and fellow players plan to march on WIAA

I just got back from an alternate universe where high school football is being played in Washington.

High school football players are leading a march tomorrow to protest the WIAA not taking their safety seriously and putting them in harm's way by exposing them to the virus.
 
kids, nobody is there on sunday, skip your virtual school to do it.

Teachers didn't spend the last 5 months planning and training how to post 10 min video lessons for you to blow it off. They are fucking heros and demand your respect!
 
I’m not for playing football in a pandemic (and yet I can’t stop watching). But you want your players to want to play. Policy disputes aside, I’m very happy to see Sam’s leadership on this stuff.

Exactly. As I said in some other thread, these efforts aren't going to change anything. However, these kids are learning more through this process than they are in online school.
