Just text a friend and told him Don James died. He wrote back; "Who in the fuck is Don James?" Yeah, that's how long it has been since people cared about UW football.

RIP Dawgfather, a legend in the coaching community.

Even last month when he was pretty sick, he still took time to do an interview with me.
 
He coached a hard-nosed brand of football I always respected and admired. Hell, I used to wish we could be tough and impose our will like his teams. A great great football coach.
 
Hope this is just another Kim lie, but if not...wow. RIP. A legend in every sense of the word. I wish we had erected his statue at HS before he passed. Fuck me.
