I said it earlier. But Dabo’s biggest negative (NIL disdain) doesn’t matter at Bama. He can Nick nolte it up while a hundred Happy type characters from blue chips do the dirty work

I'm not sure that enters into his thinking. In the same way that his assistants have stayed with him for so long because they recognize a good situation, I honestly think DeBoer also sees the good situation at UW and would want to build on what's already been established. In the same way he refers to the brief span of a player's career, he knows that coaches don't have forever either. Also, in the same way as Don James, DeBoer is an understated Midwest guy who is a good fit for Seattle.

Actually, as compared to the southeastern US, absolutely. There's more to it than a few loud radically liberal do do birds. Understated, for example, is a hallmark of PNW culture. People here are almost ashamed of their wealth. Seattle is much closer to upper midwest than any place in Alabama. Fo sho.
