S-E-C, S-E-C ...

Non-conference schedule for Nov. 19:

Alabama A&M @ Auburn
UT-San Antonio @ Texas A&M
UL-Lafayette @ Georgia
Western Carolina @ South Carolina
Austin Peay @ Kentucky
UT-Chattanooga @ Alabama

(Canceled due to hurricane that didn't hit Gainesville after all)
Presbyterian @ Florida
South Alabama @ LSU

The conference that has the most teams in it shouldn't play 1 less conference game than all the other power 5s. It really skews who the divisional champ is by losing a valuable data point.

Every year we get this post because every year the SEC saves a cupcake for the week before rival week.

Other leagues can keep bitching or they can learn

It's the benefit of the 8 game conference schedule.

It's cowardly as hell and bad for CFB and I hate everything about it. But it helps the SEC, IMO.

The 9 game conference schedule sucks ass.

The Pac-12 called this Week 2.
agree that everyone does it. but giving your team extra bye weeks in November is worse

Everyone doesn't do it. They schedule cupcakes in september also, but they play 1 less game in conference and sub in the local JC in November too.

It only sucks because the SEC does 8. 9 is a much better product, but since the poles/committees reward teams for playing more cupcakes we get dreck like UW's most recent non con schedules.

The rumored 4 16 team superconferences who can't play anything but each other would give the fans a far better product than this 3 or 4 scrimmages per year crap.
