I even liked him on defense. He was a smart, physical football player that is a true football guy. Family coaches, great kid, all that combined with size and ability. I didn’t expect him to be this good, but I always liked him.

Starters no. Budda was your nickel although he blitzed a lot and they schemed different. King and jones > mcduffie and Taylor. Taylor still doesn't have a pick if I remember right.

Jones and Budda were on multiple all American lists by season end.

Regardless the point is when your secondary is the best in the country in a given year, it doesn't get better because of star ratings in subsequent years.

SMFJ was going to be the first corner taken before he blew his achilles. I have been in love with McDuffie since long before he committed here but I'm not giving him better than jr Sid as a true sophomore.
