Rumors on Gaskin

This year is a killer for RBs. I doubt he will get drafted until the 4th round.

I honestly don't follow this stuff, is next year projected to be better (fewer quality RBs available)? Edit: or is my sarcasm meter broken?

Shiet, that is pretty high. I was thinking 5th or 6th round. He just does not have prototypical body. If he stays, hopefully they display his catching ability more, which would help his draft stock

I don’t think Gaskin gets picked high enough to blindly leave ... to me unless you are guaranteed to be a Top 3 round pick you should stay ...

Remember that Alvin Kamara was a 3rd round pick in last year’s draft

Nowadays very few RB's even get drafted at all unless you're the best of the best. They either get drafted in the 1st or 2nd rd or they get drafted in the 6th round or a UDFA. It doesn't matter if He stays or goes this year, He will have the same fate.

Your third sentence is true but your first two are FS.

2017 RB draft results by round:

1 - 2
2 - 2
3 - 4
4 - 7
5 - 4
6 - 2
7 - 5

The three rounds you specifically mentioned were the three worst rounds for RB's.

It's all random year to year based on grades, depth of the position, team needs, etc.

But still....

He's not projected into a situation where he gets any guaranteed contract. Last I saw, he was the 17th or 18th ranked RB. If he leaves and gets cut, he's stuck with a shitty football situation and no college degree.

Now those are sound reasons to stay.

@HUSKYFANATIC if you are wrong on this I will kill you.
