1. We have heard from 1 person on this board that says there could be trouble with Qualls.
2. At CB, Jones, Hale, Gardenhire, McIntosh, Joyner......not overly concerned.
3. If Dissly goes down, Johnson & Bowman, same class, provide backup.
I know, the sky is falling. IF Qualls is out, and IF Jones goes down, and IF Dissly goes down.....get a grip. If my aunt had balls.....
This post reminds me of a post I once read at dawgman. A poster lamented how we had no depth at DT after Shelton and Tokalahi. Another poster chimed in being dead serious and posted, "What do you mean we don't have depth? We have Potaoe, Banks, Laga, and Tupou. That looks like pretty good depth to me."
The DL does have a lot of promising young guys and I don't think the situation is all that comparable, but we still don't know if the young guys are any good and/or ready. Qualls and Mathis were a big reason why many were optimistic about the DL.
And yeah, the doom and gloom, worst case scenarios are kind of ridiculous, but the depth at many positions is far from ideal. Petersen had mentioned it in a couple of his interviews about how the depth isn't where he wants it,
and that it takes time.
