Pearl Jam seem like pretty cool dudes. They're Neil Young's friends so that scores them points. I just think their music sucks.

Eddie Vedder likes it in the pooper. Nuff said about that

Agree, but Beck is nothing special while I like basically everyone else from PJ, especially McCready.

God this is like having to vote for Nickleback or Hootie and the Blowfish. Fuck.

Pearl Jam had 3 solid albums. No Code has some good tracks but that's where they start to slide. I consider PJ a good band, but not a creative juggernaut per say. Beck was innovative as hell - I kind of liken him to the Bowie of the mid 90's. I lean towards thinking that Odelay was better than either Ten or Vitalogy.

After 10, PJ got a 20 year jump on nostalgia rock and started songwriting direct to KZOK.

It's pretty fucked up that they play PJ a lot on KZOK. "Alive" feels like the "Free Bird" of the early 90's.

I had to stop listening to Lithium on Sirius because I was afraid if I heard Jeremy one more time I might run over a Prius.

Beck is a fucking awesome musician. Played for years as a street musician in Los Angeles. I can actually say I saw him play way back then at an afterparty in 1991. I should have bought some of those old demo tapes when I had a chance. God knows what they're worth now.

Pearl Jam because they are Seattle royalty. Choosing Beck is like choosing UCLA, a soft pussy that is an afterthought to the legendary bands that have come from LA.

Pretty much this. Beck at least makes some interesting and different music. PJ is just some mid shelf grunge rock. I don't mind it but I'd probably rather be listening to a better band.

Yeah, I don’t think Pearl Jam comes to mind for most people when you’re looking for music to get you in the mood. If anything, their songs would kill the mood.

See “Better Man”.

There was a time in my life when I really liked Beck and Pearl Jam, but I’ve outgrown them for the most part. Don’t hate ‘em, but not going to go out of my way to listen to them either.
