I've never understood Sabbath and I'm more into metal than anyone here save for maybe my Indian friend and one or two others. Granted a lot of that metal is pussy hair metal like Warrant.

I influential: yes, somewhat but I have never gotten it.

All that was laid down in like a 4 year stretch in the early 70's. Half those are all timers that everyone knows, and the other half are all timers that every metal fan knows.

Pretty much ever song on their first three records is either good to classic. I'm not as much as a head banger as some here but these records were heavy in my college soundtrack. I saw them a Key in college on their first reunion tour with Ozzy back and it kicked major fucking ass. Way better than the Stones in the 90s at the Kingdome.

Sabbath is legend. You can go to some fucking shithole in Mogadishu and play Iron Man or War Pigs and even they have heard it. Doubt they've heard Candle in the Wind.

I can't fault you too much. Heaven and Hell is a perfect fucking record. Best part is Bill Ward says he was so depressed and high on drugs because of Ozzy's firing that he doesnt even rememeber the recording process.
