"Those are my guys," Odunze told Dawgman.com. "Sawyer (Racanelli) and Jalen (McMillan) were cool dudes. I loved hanging out with them and getting to know them better.
"It was a great visit because I got the chance to meet up with a lot of the other guys that are committed and we just continued to build that bond you need with your teammates because they are your family."
Odunze's host on his visit was freshman wideout Puka Nacua and the two spent a lot of time together.
"He's funny. I had a good time with him," Odunze noted.
"The culture there fits me," Odunze said. "They are about competing in everything and attacking every day from the moment you get up until you go to bed.
"They expect excellence and they are there to bring that out of you.
"It's an exciting place and I can't wait to sign (next Wednesday) and then get up there in June."
One of the benefits of Washington's selection to play in the Las Vegas Bowl is that Odunze gets to watch his future team play in person.
"Since I will be signed, I can go down and visit for their practices, so I'll probably hit one of those and then I will be at the game as well, so it should be fun," Odunze said.
"Being there was great because it just made me feel more at home," Odunze said. "You get this great feeling when you are there and then you commit, but it's a while before you get back up there, so you don't know if it will feel the same, but it was even better than I remembered and I know I made the right decision for my future."
