I bet Fresno St. is pissed.
I guess last year was his first year playing football and he made all league offense and defense which is pretty impressive although I dont know how good the league he plays in is. His dad is a professional body-builder. Huffman says that no one in the TBS industry has actually seen him play in person so he kind of just gave him an arbitrary ranking. Huff could have the inside track on an under the radar stud, or this could be the result of us floundering in recruiting right now. Either way, this commitment definitely doesnt generate any upward momentum for our recruiting class. Right now, we look like we are on the level of Arizona or Colorado recruiting-wise
Hate to be this guy, but he’s a good commit. He’s big and can run. I watched his Hudl. He’s quick enough to make plays on defense.
Perfect high school size for an OL. Stack solid players and get the elite guys you can like JT and Egbuka.
Stars matter, but we aren’t going to recruit at a top 10 level consistently. I’ve always said there is too much emphasis on low 4 star guys.

Dude looks like a big guy that moves well with minimal coaching/technique
He is taller than everyone else in the video and plays center for his HS basketball team too, so I guess legit 6'7" is possible.
If he is actually 6'7" 270lbs and looks that skinny and moves that well he looks good as a project guy i guess...
Also his dad is one of those heavy weight lifter types so thats probably good to.
This year's Sam Peacock. The question is, why are we taking this kid's commitment in April instead of December?

They obviously think he’s going to blow up and want to beat the rush.

Ditto. To me this screams Gaard. Huff saw a kid who hasn’t played the camp circuit and jumped all over it before anyone else could. Then as Gaard got offers from all the PAC and the Big 12 and some SEC, he told his coaches to not even tell him because he didn’t care.
I understand everyone is stuck sheltering in place with their giant wives, 4 kids, 1 neice, and 1 nephew and wants to end their life so we need something positive to cling to but the optimism here is uncharacteristically doogish and I won’t stand for it.
Kidding aside the last tim Huff offered and took someone no one heard of it was Gaard. I'll LIPO.
Guard was recruited for months prior to his offer & commitment, he made it to campus, and showed out in a camp.

Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but anyone else find it discouraging the only reason we found this guy is cuz he tweeted his tape at our staff (along with a bunch of others if you look at his tweet history)?
It’d be one thing if we sought him out but seems like we just said hey this guy looks okay let’s give him a call and Bam! Offer and commit.
I miss Nick already
