...why would anyone stand in line for a test with no treatment available for the sickness?

It's the people who come in contact with someone, and then in order to work, need to show proof they are not The Vid positive. I think someone in the Max Carnage thread pointed out 60% of people who have tested positive have had no symptoms at all. Of course that leads to the strong potential for false positives but, but, yeah still.

Total failure of the American medical bureaucracy. No therapeutics recommended outside of Tylenol and wait until your are so sick that your plunging oxygen levels require hospitalization. Wealthy individuals like Rogers or Rogan can find a friendly doctor and get an Ivermectin prescription (or the tablets), a prednisone prescription and a recommendation for taking zinc and Vitamin D. Plus some are waiting for 2 days after waiting hours for the test to get a result. The average Joe, gets nothing. Testing for "cases" was supposed to be the key and a year into the dementia patients administration and trillions spent, we have a shortage of a government controlled product (the tests). Burn the CDC to the ground and save the $8 billion a year.

Yes, irrational government top down policy and over involvement has created the issue. Same as always.
 
Story related yesterday where a middle aged woman went to her Doc to discuss what their protocol would be if she got sick. "Nothing". You go home and if you get really sick, go to hospital and they will "treat" you.

Woman eventually gets covid, nearly dies. She goes to see her Doc to let her know that she nearly died because she's a coward. Doc says if she were to treat she could lose her license. Again, lady said you're a coward. Doc starts to cry. Lady leaves and gets a new Doc. Mine told me he has no protocol. Go to hospital if you get really sick.

This is all criminal. I hope someday down the road, people are on trial for their actions. Doc's making medical decisions to use meds off label has never been criminalized. They do it ALL THE TIME!

Verapamil has been used as a prophylactic for cluster headaches. It's indicated for hypertension.

The insanity is real. If you're a HS BB player and a teammate tests positive, you have to quarantine. Then test negative multiple times before you can play. Even if you have ZERO symptoms.

Oh it's not lost on me at all.

It's why fake testing sites are popping up for a fee. Get tested. Get clean bill of health from fake testing site, go to work. Put food on your table, pay the rent, wash, rinse repeat.

As for part two there is definitely also large swaths of the population who see it as their civic duty to be tested, even without symptoms. Also a large swath that uses the excuse of not being able to find a test or be positive to avoid work. I wouldn't say it if I haven't witnessed it.

Fren / Fam: I was with so and so the other day and they now have covid, so now I can't work until I get tested.

Me: Did you get a rapid home test from the store?

Fren / Fam: No, I can't get tested until next week.

Me: Why next week? Couldn't you get a test now, find out and work?
