Town was a national recruit and placed 8th at the Elite 11 finals, ahead of Josh Rosen. And most of the reports of SC's recruiting class, including those after signing day, had Towns ahead of Darnold.

Well, that's an easy answer because Sark isn't a very good coach. So of course "something" isn't right. Or the kid might just be a quitter who couldn't take being the #4 QB after getting everything handed to him his entire life.. Who gives a fuck about recruiting rankings? Reports clearly state Darnold has been better.

Town was ranked #1QB in country entering spring by scout. Then he sucked in spring camps, sucked in 7v7 summer and really sucked during his senior season. That's the reason they took Darnold.

I Would say most reports from knowledgeable SC sites had Towns and Darnold about equal entering the program. And thru summer and fall it's clearly been Darnold >>>>>Town.
 
Towns going from #1 to #8 is an indictment. Same for USC going hard after Darnold. The TBSers don't like to drop the kids they ranked high early because it means they were wrong, and the kids they are ranking are teenagers. They don't like to pile on. Joel Dublanko is still the #41 ranked DE.

Oregon supposedly waited until Darnold said no to offer the QB formerly known as Travis Waller. The only thing that might be shocking here is how quickly the recruiting rankings became FS.

Quite honestly, sark is the best recruiter of "elite" teenbob qbs who flame out at the college level.

I'm convinced that he actually does recruit based on star rankings. #ripit
