It's still not true. He obviously helps a ton but we'd need to replace 3-4 current commits with better prospects to elevate the class as a whole to #1 status.

Im still searching for the original post where I said this will be the best class ever and Smalls will commit. It was definitely during racist gate FS.

 
If we don't get Gary Bryant or someone similar, this class will basically be rated the same as last years class. Which, is probably better than the rest of us thought it would be at the time, but still.

I was just using the 247 point calculator, which if we add a couple guys will be identical to last years. The average may be a little higher this year I'll check

I'm just going by feel. Ratings count but anything 10-20 is pretty close to the same. 2019 was stronger at DB, LB, and DL (by a giant margin). 2020 stronger at OL, TE, and WR. It's pretty damn close, but there weren't any JAG recruits to speak of in 2019. This class has a few.

Last year's 247 AVG for the class was 90.08

This year's right now w/o punter it is 89.52 (Composite is 89.8)

If we add Bryant or Hector that number goes up, Lance or Overman that goes down. I would also expect atleast a few of our players to get ratings increases before signing day, so the average should increase a bit. (Also keep in mind 247 has Gaard at an 85 which is retarded).

I think its fair to say the 2019 & 2020 classes are about the same unless something crazy happens.

I've been pretty consistent that it will be 2022 at the latest.

It won't take Sam more than two years to win a natty.
