I think the defensive side stays together and still signs. I would bet quite a few on the offensive side hold off on signing during the early period and we have to re-recruit them.
 
the timing of Petersen stepping down is very curious given the impact it might have on the recruiting class. I get that you don't want to sign a class then quit but... signing the class and then leaving is how Ohio State, Bama, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame and pretty much every serious program would do it.

This is a massive gamble to time it now

and I don't think the class holds together.
 
I'm most worried about our offensive line commits. I doubt Jimmy has much of a relationship with them. Though despite a lot of the sentiment here, I don't think Huff's job is even close to being in jeopardy, so hopefully he can hose them all off.

They are all good friends, taking trips together and stuff like that. I think the line will be safe. I'm worried about the WRs
 
Two weeks is all he had to wait. Secure the top-20 class and announce after the bowl game. But no.. we had to fuck that up. What's the advantage of announcing this now?

It's not like there were mass exoduses at Oklahoma and Ohio State when they went through the same process, so I'm hopeful.

Can’t say how important it is to naming Lake immediately. No period of wondering what direction UW may go.

Hopefully he’s working the phones and getting the potential defectors back in the fold. Can’t afford to lose anyone in this class- especially Smalls.

I think the class stays together. Might lose one or two kids we wouldn't have lost anyway.
The recruiting side should be fine. I mean honestly recruiting should improve (going forward).
It's the coaching side I'm concerned about.

Brock and Damon aren’t stupid. They know this offense is broken. I doubt they see it as a terrible thing. Huard was coming to UW no matter what unless we were absolutely terrible.
